- Felt a bite while on the river. In the Tamba Pata national park
- Initially itchy bite at site for a month or two
- At the end of the two months felt it had grown to a nodule and presented to the skin clinic for review
- Biopsy taken
- Quickly broke down into the ulcer seen from photos today and ulcer rapidly enlarged
